Job Description
The Project Manager - Electrical Testing Field Operations oversees electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance projects for substations and data centers, leading field and office teams, ensuring safety and quality standards, managing client communication, and controlling project scope, schedule, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field and office personnel in electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance projects for substations and datacenters
- Serve as the primary client contact, managing communication and scope confirmation
- Mentor NETA technicians and oversee safety and quality standards throughout projects
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources from kickoff to closeout
- Perform electrical testing, review test data, and resolve technical issues with clients
- Track project costs, draft change orders, and support invoicing and reporting
- Oversee tool test-equipment readiness, vehicle inspections, and site safety compliance
- Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, and team development activities
Requirements
- Proven project leadership in electrical testing commissioning with responsibility for field teams, client interface, safety, schedule, budget, and reporting.
- Ability to mentor NETA technicians Levels I III and perform testing aligned to your NETA level.
- Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Valid U.S. driver s license and clean driving record with no citable accidents in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug alcohol screening and to satisfy E-Verify or equivalent work authorization requirements.
