Job Description
The Land Solutions Associate Project Manager supports permitting activities for infrastructure projects, including railroad and DOT highway permits, by coordinating with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance and successful approvals across the Midwest region.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in developing project plans, timelines, budgets, and staffing schedules
- Prepare and track permit applications for railroad, DOT highway, and other regulatory entities
- Collaborate with clients and agencies to facilitate timely permit approvals and resolve permit-related issues
- Assist with business development and proposal preparation by researching permit requirements and regulations
- Coach, counsel, and mentor team members in permit coordination processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years of experience supporting permitting, preferably within railroad, DOT highway, or utility infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with state and federal permitting processes and coordination with agencies such as DOTs, FHWA, and rail authorities
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
