Job Description

The Document Control Specialist supports renewable energy project execution by managing and maintaining project documentation, ensuring accuracy, version control, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain document control processes for renewable energy projects.
  • Receive, log, track, and distribute project documentation using document management systems.
  • Ensure proper version control, document numbering, naming conventions, and metadata consistency.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely submission and approval of deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate records of document revisions, approvals, and transmittals for compliance and traceability.
  • Conduct periodic document audits to ensure data integrity and adherence to quality standards.
  • Support project closeout by compiling turnover documentation, operation manuals, and as-built records.
  • Train and assist internal teams and contractors on document control procedures and systems.
  • Provide administrative and reporting support, including dashboards, tracking logs, and status reports.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of document control experience in engineering, construction, or energy sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in document management software such as SharePoint, Procore, Aconex, Documentum, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Experience supporting renewable energy or utility-scale infrastructure projects (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards or other document control frameworks (preferred).
  • Knowledge of engineering document types and workflows such as P&IDs, one-lines, and data sheets (preferred).
