Job Description
The role involves leading a civil engineering team focused on land development projects, managing business operations, client relationships, staff supervision, and ensuring operational excellence within a flexible and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage business operations and develop annual business plans for the team
- Oversee business development activities and maintain key client relationships
- Manage team performance, conduct reviews, and support staff training and development
- Supervise recruitment, onboarding, and HR-related processes for team members
- Ensure operational excellence, adherence to standards, and quality of deliverables
- Communicate company objectives and facilitate internal communication within the team
- Support safety protocols and ensure safety standards are followed on projects
- Manage project financials, including invoicing, effort tracking, and profitability
- Lead and direct team members, including hiring, training, and performance management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required. JD, MBA, or other advanced degree may be preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Typically, a minimum of fifteen (15) plus years of experience in civil engineering land development.
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and lead business development efforts.
