Job Description

The Director of Civil Engineering for Land Development is responsible for leading regional land development projects, managing a team of engineers, driving business development efforts, and ensuring successful project delivery within the Pennsylvania market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of civil engineers and support staff.
  • Oversee planning, design, and execution of land development projects.
  • Develop and implement regional strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Develop and execute business development plans to expand market presence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Identify and pursue new land development business opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Ensure successful delivery of land development projects from inception to completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering, focusing on land development
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans
  • Experience overseeing the planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline requirements
  • Experience developing and implementing regional strategies to drive growth and profitability in the land development market
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
  • Experience representing a company at industry events, conferences, and meetings
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction
