Job Description
The role involves working on site civil engineering and land development projects, managing project lifecycle from entitlements to construction, and ensuring technical excellence in designing water, wastewater, surface water, and roadway systems while fostering client relationships and supporting company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on site civil engineering and land development projects
- Design potable water and wastewater distribution systems, surface water management systems, site grading, and roadway design
- Manage projects from entitlements through to construction
- Coordinate and process permitting and entitlements with governmental agencies
- Participate in company marketing efforts and foster client relationships
- Ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC ABET Accredited University
- PE Licensure (Professional Engineer license) is required
- Demonstrate technical excellence in engineering principles and practices
- Expertise in designing potable water and wastewater distribution systems, surface water management systems, site grading, roadway design, and related land development projects
- Experience managing projects from entitlements through to construction, ensuring successful project execution
- Ability to manage and coordinate various aspects of project development
- Experience efficiently processing multiple permitting entitlements across various governmental agencies
- Ability to utilize local experience to streamline the permitting process
- Experience implementing complex permitting strategies to meet project schedules for large-scale developments and commercial infills
- Active participation in company marketing efforts to enhance the company's profile and foster relationships with clients and governmental agencies
- Experience delivering high-quality projects and ensuring client satisfaction to contribute to company growth
- Relevant work experience in Maryland (preferred but not explicitly required)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD (preferred but not explicitly required)
