A Civil Engineer at Atwell, LLC will be responsible for designing and analyzing site plans, assessing project data, preparing reports, supporting construction activities, and utilizing engineering software to deliver land development projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Draft preliminary and final site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Analyze project survey data to assess existing site conditions
Prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations for project direction
Support construction activities through permit applications, quantity estimates, and document organization
Utilize engineering software to complete assignments accurately and efficiently
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project coordination
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
0-2 years of experience in civil engineering
EIT (Engineer in Training) certification preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages such as WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD (preferred)
Ability to draft preliminary and final site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards
Ability to analyze project survey data to assess existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents
Experience preparing reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology hydraulic studies, due diligence site analysis reports, engineer’s opinion of probable costs, project schedules, utility computations, detention retention computations, storm sewer reports, local and state permit applications, stormwater reports, soils reports, earthwork volume calculations, StormCAD reports, WaterCAD reports, and preliminary grading
Experience providing construction support services including permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals
Ability to organize site plans, construction plans, and construction documents under the guidance of senior staff
Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with team members and project coordination
