Job Description
This role involves utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to produce and review site development drawings, assist with survey data analysis, and support design staff in land development projects within residential, commercial, or industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for design staff regarding drafting practices and procedures
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete project assignments
- Produce project-specific drawings such as soil erosion plans, site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, and sanitary sewer plans
- Review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions and development factors
- Complete edits and modify plans based on revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients
- Communicate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to coordinate workflow and meet chargeability goals
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
- 4 years of previous design experience within Residential, Commercial or Industrial Land Development Required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages to complete assignments on time and within Atwell standards
- Ability to produce various drawings specific to projects including soil erosion plans, site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and construction staking
- Experience reviewing project survey data to analyze existing site conditions and factors to consider for development including but not limited to legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and condo documents
- Ability to complete edits and modify plans as revised by agencies, municipalities, and clients as directed
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with Project Managers and Team Leaders on workflow status in order to meet chargeability goals
