Job Description
This role involves supporting the design team by creating and reviewing civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, analyzing site survey data, and ensuring project plans meet client and agency requirements within land development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for design staff regarding drafting practices and procedures
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete project assignments
- Produce project-specific drawings including soil erosion, site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, and sanitary sewer plans
- Review and analyze project survey data and existing site conditions
- Complete edits and modifications to plans based on agency, municipality, and client revisions
- Communicate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to coordinate workflow and meet project deadlines
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
- 4 years of previous design experience within Residential, Commercial or Industrial Land Development
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages
- Ability to produce various project-specific drawings including soil erosion plans, site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and construction staking
- Experience reviewing project survey data to analyze existing site conditions and factors such as legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and condo documents
- Ability to complete edits and modify plans as revised by agencies, municipalities, and clients as directed
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with Project Managers and Team Leaders on workflow status
