Job Description
A mechanical engineering role focused on designing and developing innovative power supply products, involving creative problem solving, prototyping, thermal analysis, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to meet technology and manufacturing goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new mechanical products in collaboration with the R&D team and Director.
- Solve complex mechanical engineering and system integration problems.
- Create concepts for RFQ proposals.
- Perform thermal analysis and modeling.
- Prototype and validate mechanical designs.
- Apply DFM techniques and best practices.
- Lead mechanical design of Switching Mode Power Supplies within a multidisciplinary team.
- Generate and review engineering drawings in compliance with industry standards.
- Support other mechanical engineers and designers as needed.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure on-time project completion.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field
- Proficient with CAD software packages, specifically ProE Creo preferred, and 2D CAD software experience
- Experience in material selection and manufacturing processes
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication
- Experience with machine parts and 3D printing
- Strong communication skills
