Job Description
The SMT Programming Technician is responsible for creating and troubleshooting machine programs for SMT pick and place equipment, primarily using Fuji Nexim software, to ensure accurate component placement and efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and modify pick and place programs for SMT machines using Fuji Nexim software
- Create and update component profiles for SMT equipment
- Collaborate with Design Engineers to resolve CAD and BOM discrepancies
- Maintain SMT assembly job folders and stencil inventory
- Assist in maintaining the SMT parts library
- Troubleshoot Surface Mount pick and place equipment to resolve machine alarms and placement errors
- Provide technical support to machine operators
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- At least 3 years of experience programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting Surface Mount pick and place equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials and Assembly drawings.
