Job Description

The Vertical Sales Manager at Astrodyne TDI is responsible for driving sales and customer engagement within the defense market segment by developing strategic account plans, building key relationships, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with internal teams to secure new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a business plan to penetrate accounts and grow sales within the assigned vertical.
  • Establish and build relationships with key accounts and strategic target customers.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and recommend pricing, terms, and contracts for quotations and agreements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and field application teams to create proposals and responses to RFQs and RFPs.
  • Manage customer satisfaction, address concerns, and resolve complaints within existing accounts.
  • Drive qualification, management, and progression of sales leads and prospects.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events, including speaking engagements.
  • Maintain and update the opportunities and contacts database (SalesForce.com).
  • Influence and motivate internal teams to achieve customer solutions and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated existing relationships at Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, BAE, Raytheon, General Dynamics, and other strategic target accounts.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the territory with an established network of contacts in the Military markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Power Supply, EMI Filter, and Transformer is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel extensively to customers, prospects, and manufacturer’s reps in order to drive additional new business, including overnight travel averaging 50% within the territory and out of region as needed.
  • Must be able to drive a car and be insurable.
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident Green Card Holder due to military affiliations.
  • Occasional Saturdays may be necessary to fulfill job requirements.

Benefits & Perks

Salary range: 140,000-175,000 USD
Work environment involves extensive travel, including overnight travel averaging 50% within the territory and out of region as needed
Occasional work on Saturdays
Must be able to drive a car and be insurable
