Job Description
A Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for designing and developing power conversion systems, including transformers and inductors, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance for industrial and aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of low, medium, and high voltage transformers, inductors, and power conversion and control products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including program management, sales, procurement, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering
- Generate product specifications based on customer requirements and R&D efforts
- Model and analyze electrical designs using tools such as Cadence, Creo, and Rale
- Create manufacturing documentation including schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, work instructions, and test procedures
- Perform reliability analyses like MTBF and DFMEA to validate designs and mitigate risks
- Develop and execute design verification test procedures and support troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Interface with customers to ensure product performance and compliance requirements are met
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in design for manufacturability and engineering excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years in medium or high voltage electrical systems design.
- Proven experience in transformer and power system development.
- Deep understanding of electrical components used in power conversion and transformer applications.
- Familiarity with agency compliance standards UL, CSA, VDE, CE.
