Job Description

A Sales Engineer responsible for increasing sales and customer engagement for power products in the Mid-West region, providing technical and commercial support, building customer relationships, and driving new business opportunities through direct sales and account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Increase and improve sales within the assigned territory by engaging new and existing customers.
  • Establish and maintain direct relationships with target accounts, providing commercial and technical support.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for quotations, RFQs, blanket agreements, and contracts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to develop proposals and responses that meet customer needs.
  • Manage customer satisfaction and resolve concerns within existing accounts.
  • Qualify, manage, and advance sales leads and prospects proactively.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to identify and pursue new target customers.
  • Maintain and update the Salesforce database with opportunities and contacts.
  • Travel extensively within the territory to meet with accounts and prospects.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor of Electronic or Electrical Engineering degree (preferred).
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the territory with an established network of contacts in the Industrial, Medical, Aerospace, and Military markets.
  • Experience with EMI and Power Electronics.
  • Demonstrate a consultative approach and ability to make recommendations to prospects with solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Possess the ability to influence and motivate other internal organizations to achieve solutions for customers and drive revenue growth.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to travel extensively to accounts and prospective customers in order to drive additional new business, with an average of 60% travel within the territory weekly and around 5% out of region as needed.

Benefits & Perks

Salary Range: 70,000-90,000
Work environment: Home office-based with extensive travel within the territory
