Job Description
The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations for high-mix, low-volume electronic products in a regulated environment, leading a team to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities for assembly and test teams
- Coordinate production schedules and priorities to ensure on-time delivery
- Manage work-in-progress (WIP) to maintain smooth production flow
- Monitor and improve production efficiency, yield, and throughput
- Ensure manufacturing activities comply with AS9100 standards and internal procedures
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment
- Support workforce planning, including staffing, training, and performance management
- Utilize ERP system (Epicor) to manage production orders and monitor job status
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues
- Lead daily production meetings and communicate priorities and expectations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality
- Provide hands-on support to resolve production challenges or bottlenecks
Requirements
- Five years of manufacturing experience in an electronics or electromechanical production environment.
- Two years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with high-mix low-volume manufacturing environments.
- Experience working within AS9100 or similar regulated quality systems.
- Awareness or familiarity with IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-620 standards.
- Experience using ERP systems for production management, with Epicor ERP preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive operational performance.
