Job Description
The Principal Electrical Engineer at Astrodyne TDI is responsible for designing, developing, and validating power conversion and control systems, working closely with cross-functional teams and customers to drive innovative power solutions in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate power conversion and power control systems
- Perform high-frequency magnetic component design and debug EMC issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Engage directly with customers and sales teams to align designs with needs
- Contribute to new product development and provide production support
Requirements
- A B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
- At least 8 years of experience in power electronics and switch-mode power supply design
- Proficiency in PSpice, Mathcad, and experience with agency compliance standards including UL, CSA, VDE, and CE
- Experience with microcontrollers used in power electronics
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: 130,000 - 150,000
