Job Description
A Mechanical Engineer at Astrodyne TDI will lead the design and analysis of switching mode power supplies, ensuring mechanical reliability, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout the product development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of Switching Mode Power Supplies within a multidisciplinary team
- Perform thermal analysis of electronic circuits to ensure reliability
- Design products for manufacturability
- Participate in design reviews and perform DFMEA analysis of mechanical designs
- Generate and review engineering drawings in compliance with industry standards
- Support other mechanical engineers and provide technical guidance
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure on-time project completion
- Document design activities and maintain project records
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field
- Proficient with CAD software packages, specifically ProE Creo preferred, and 2D CAD software experience
- Experience in material selection and manufacturing processes
- Ability to perform thermal analysis of electronics circuits to ensure reliability
- Ability to perform design for manufacturability and participate in design reviews
- Ability to perform DFMEA analysis of mechanical designs as part of a Switch Mode Power Supply system
- Ability to generate high quality and complete engineering drawings complying with industry standards
- Ability to support other mechanical designers and engineers when necessary
- Ability to coordinate with all relevant internal departments for on-time project completion
- Ability to document design activities and support design verification testing and production support
Benefits & Perks
Salary Range: 90,000-110,000
