Job Description
A Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for designing and developing power conversion systems, transformers, and inductors for industrial, medical, military, and aerospace applications, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring product reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of low, medium, and high voltage transformers, inductors, power distribution units, and power conversion and control products
- Collaborate with program management and cross-functional teams to meet project and customer requirements
- Generate product specifications for R&D efforts and customer needs
- Model and analyze electrical designs using tools like Cadence, Creo, and Rale
- Create manufacturing documentation including schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, work instructions, and test procedures
- Perform reliability analyses such as MTBF and DFMEA to validate designs and reduce risks
- Develop and execute design verification test procedures and support troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Interface with customers to ensure product performance and compliance requirements are met
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in design for manufacturability and engineering excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum of 3 years in medium or high voltage electrical systems design
- Proven experience in transformer and power system development
- Deep understanding of electrical components used in power conversion and transformer applications
- Familiarity with agency compliance standards UL, CSA, VDE, CE
