A Project Development Intern role focused on supporting renewable energy project development activities, including site analysis, stakeholder engagement, and data management, to assist in the growth of sustainable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct desktop research and analysis to identify potential renewable energy sites.
Support evaluation of site suitability based on environmental, technical, and logistical factors.
Assist in creating site screening reports and presentations for internal review.
Perform due diligence on project sites, including land ownership, environmental screenings, and grid interconnection analysis.
Manage and organize project documentation, databases, and GIS data.
Participate in stakeholder outreach and community engagement efforts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance project development and review potential greenfield acquisition projects.
Requirements
A recent graduate, or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant field such as Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
Must be based in Scottsdale, AZ or willing to relocate for the duration of the internship.
Strong academic record.
Demonstrated interest in renewable energy, sustainability, environmental issues.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Familiarity with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) is a plus but not required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
