Job Description
A senior engineer responsible for designing and optimizing turbomachinery components, including flowpaths and airfoils, for a supercritical CO₂ power cycle, utilizing CFD modeling, experimental validation, and cycle performance analysis to improve efficiency and operability.
Key Responsibilities
- Define operating characteristics of turbomachinery components
- Design high-performance flowpaths, airfoils, and inlet/outlet geometries for supercritical CO₂ power cycle
- Perform CFD modeling and aerodynamic optimization
- Conduct experimental validation to improve turbomachinery efficiency and operability
- Analyze cycle performance and turbomachinery aerodynamics
Requirements
- Expertise in turbomachinery aerodynamics, including defining operating characteristics and designing high-performance flowpaths, airfoils, and inlet outlet geometries for a supercritical CO₂-based power cycle.
- Proficiency in CFD modeling, aerodynamic optimization, and experimental validation to enhance turbomachinery efficiency and operability.
- Experience in cycle performance analysis related to turbomachinery systems.
- Knowledge and expertise in compressible flow relevant to turbomachinery applications.
- Experience with both simulation and testing environments related to turbomachinery aerodynamics.
