Job Description
A Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing and analyzing rotors and casings for turbomachinery in a supercritical CO₂ power cycle, focusing on conceptual design, material selection, and structural analysis to ensure high performance and reliability under demanding conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze rotors and casings for turbomachinery in a supercritical CO₂ power cycle
- Perform conceptual design and select assembly architecture and materials
- Conduct structural analysis to ensure reliable operation under demanding conditions
- Apply expertise in bolted joint and seal design
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermomechanical analysis
- Evaluate designs for creep and rotordynamics performance
Requirements
- Design and analysis of rotors and casings for turbomachinery in a supercritical CO₂-based power cycle.
- Experience in conceptual design, assembly architecture selection, material selection, and structural analysis to ensure high-performance, reliable operation under demanding conditions.
- Expertise in bolted joint and seal design.
- Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA).
- Proficiency in thermomechanical analysis.
- Preferred experience in creep analysis.
- Preferred experience in rotordynamics.
