Job Description

A Tax Manager in Private Client Services responsible for helping high-net-worth individuals optimize their tax strategies, providing expert guidance, and supporting client growth within a dynamic, innovative CPA and advisory firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee private client tax planning and compliance services.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to maximize client opportunities.
  • Coordinate with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and team members in tax-related tasks.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax services, specifically with private client services for high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs).
  • Have a CPA certification or equivalent professional credential recognized in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrate expertise in tax planning, compliance, and consulting for high-net-worth individuals and private clients.
  • Show ability to work with complex tax issues related to private clients, including estate, gift, and trust tax planning.
  • Possess strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations applicable to private clients and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Have experience managing or leading a team of tax professionals, including providing mentorship and oversight.
  • Be capable of preparing, reviewing, and analyzing complex tax returns and related documentation for private clients.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members, explaining complex tax concepts clearly.
  • Be able to work in a flexible working environment, including remote and hybrid work arrangements.
  • Have a commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with evolving tax laws and regulations.
