Job Description

A Senior Tax Manager in the Client Accounting Services team responsible for managing tax strategies and client relationships within a dynamic, growth-oriented CPA and advisory firm specializing in fast-growing industries like restaurants, franchises, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee client tax engagements within the restaurant, franchise, and hospitality industries.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and consulting to clients to optimize their tax positions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Review and approve tax returns and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Lead and develop a team of tax professionals, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to identify additional service opportunities.
  • Stay current on industry trends, tax legislation, and best practices relevant to clients.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, specifically within the restaurant, franchise, or hospitality industries.
  • Hold a CPA certification or equivalent professional credential.
  • Demonstrate expertise in federal and state tax laws relevant to the restaurant, franchise, and hospitality sectors.
  • Have experience managing and leading tax planning, compliance, and consulting projects for clients in fast-growing industries.
  • Show proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing complex tax returns and related documentation.
  • Possess strong knowledge of tax software and accounting systems relevant to client services.
  • Have the ability to work effectively with clients to identify tax opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to clearly explain tax strategies and compliance requirements to clients and team members.
  • Be able to work in a collaborative team environment and contribute to a high-energy, ambitious team culture.
  • Be available to work full-time, with the flexibility to adapt to remote or hybrid working arrangements.
  • Be willing to participate in firm-sponsored CPA support programs and continuing education initiatives.
  • Be committed to adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to tax practice and employment.
