Job Description

An Audit Manager at Aprio is responsible for leading and managing audit engagements for private and closely-held companies, providing assurance services, and ensuring compliance with professional standards while building trusted client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee audit engagements for private and closely-held companies
  • Ensure compliance with PCAOB standards and professional regulations
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and related documentation
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships through clear communication
  • Identify and address audit risks and issues
  • Supervise and mentor audit team members
  • Coordinate with clients and internal teams to facilitate the audit process

Requirements

  • Possess a CPA license or equivalent professional certification.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or audit services, including managing audit engagements.
  • Demonstrate experience working with private and closely-held companies to prepare precise financial statements.
  • Have a thorough understanding of auditing standards and procedures, including adherence to PCAOB standards as a registered member.
  • Possess strong communication skills to build trusted relationships and ensure clear communication throughout the audit process.
  • Be able to work efficiently and effectively to ensure the audit experience is seamless and effortless for clients.
  • Have the ability to lead and supervise audit teams, providing guidance and oversight during engagements.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to the highest professional standards in all assurance services provided.
  • Be capable of managing multiple audit projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Possess knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles relevant to private and closely-held companies.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth within the field of assurance and audit services.
