Job Description
The Senior Manager, Non-Profit Consulting, leads and manages business advisory and outsourced accounting engagements for non-profit clients, focusing on areas such as financial analysis, system implementation, audit facilitation, and grants management, while working closely with partners and clients to optimize opportunities and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate completion of business advisory and interim outsourced accounting engagements for non-profit clients.
- Plan, manage, and oversee engagements within six business pillars: Finance Department Assessment, Process Improvement, Audit Facilitation, Accounting Research, Chart of Account Redesign, and System Implementation.
- Provide financial analysis, policy evaluation, and management support to clients.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver interim Controller and CFO services.
- Facilitate Single Audit processes, support Uniform Guidance compliance, and assist with Grants Management.
Requirements
- The candidate must have strong critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and project management skills.
- The candidate must have the ability to adapt to different client environments.
- The candidate must have experience leading and managing business advisory and interim outsourced accounting engagements.
- The candidate must have experience planning, leading, and managing engagements within the six specified business pillars: Finance Department Assessment and Process Improvement, Audit Facilitation and Accounting Research, Chart of Account Redesign and System Implementation, Financial Analysis, Policy Evaluation and Management, Collaboration Interim Controller and Chief Financial Officer Services, and Single Audit Facilitation, Uniform Guidance Support, and Grants Management.
- The candidate must have experience working closely with Partners, the Professional Practice Team, other staff, and clients.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in non-profit consulting, accounting, or related fields.
- The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- The candidate must have CPA certification or equivalent professional certification.
- The candidate must have experience facilitating audits and understanding of Uniform Guidance and Grants Management.
- The candidate must have experience with financial analysis, policy evaluation, and management.
- The candidate must have experience with system implementation and chart of account redesign.
- The candidate must have experience providing interim Controller and CFO services.
- The candidate must have experience with business process assessment and process improvement.
- The candidate must have experience with audit facilitation and accounting research.
- The candidate must have the ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
