Job Description
A Senior Audit Associate at Aprio works with clients to improve financial reporting, internal controls, and evaluate accounting issues while staying ahead of regulatory changes, helping businesses mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients in improving financial reporting capabilities and internal controls
- Evaluate accounting issues and stay updated on new accounting regulations
- Assess the quality of financial information used for strategic decision-making
- Identify areas for operational efficiency improvements
- Work with businesses and industry leaders to mitigate financial and business risks
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing or a related field.
- Have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrate experience working with financial reporting capabilities and internal controls.
- Show the ability to evaluate accounting issues and stay current with new accounting regulations that could impact long-term business growth.
- Have experience assisting companies in assessing the quality of information used for strategic business decisions.
- Be able to identify areas for operational efficiency improvements within client organizations.
- Possess strong knowledge of financial and business risk mitigation strategies.
- Be credentialed as a CPA or equivalent professional certification.
- Have the ability to work collaboratively within a team of credentialed audit experts.
- Be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple client engagements.
- Possess excellent communication skills to work with businesses and industry leaders effectively.
- Be willing to work in a hybrid or remote working environment as required by the firm.
