Job Description

A Senior Audit Associate at Aprio works with clients to improve financial reporting, internal controls, and evaluate accounting issues, helping them mitigate risks and stay compliant with regulations while supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in improving financial reporting capabilities and internal controls
  • Evaluate accounting issues and stay updated on new accounting regulations
  • Assess the quality of financial information used for strategic decision-making
  • Identify areas for operational efficiency improvements
  • Work with audit experts to mitigate financial and business risks for clients

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an audit or assurance role, with a focus on financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is required or must be obtained.
  • Ability to evaluate accounting issues and stay current with new accounting regulations that could impact long-term business growth.
  • Experience working with businesses and industry leaders to assess the quality of financial information used for strategic decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting capabilities.
  • Proficiency in identifying areas for operational efficiencies within client organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with credentialed audit experts and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Physical ability to perform audit procedures and work in various client environments as required.
