Job Description

A Senior Associate in Assurance Services at Aprio works with clients to improve financial reporting, internal controls, and evaluate accounting issues, helping them mitigate risks and stay compliant with regulations to support long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in improving financial reporting capabilities and internal controls
  • Evaluate accounting issues and stay updated on new accounting regulations
  • Assess the quality of financial information used for strategic decision-making
  • Identify areas for operational efficiency improvements
  • Work with audit experts to mitigate financial and business risks for clients

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience working with businesses and industry leaders to avoid financial and business risk, improve financial reporting capabilities, evaluate accounting issues, and stay ahead of new accounting regulations that could impact long-term business growth.
  • Have the ability to work with companies to assess the quality of information used for strategic business decisions and identify areas for operational efficiency improvements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in understanding and evaluating internal controls and financial reporting processes.
  • Possess a strong understanding of current accounting regulations and standards relevant to assurance and audit services.
  • Possess a CPA certification or be actively pursuing CPA certification (implied by CPA support program and incentive upon completion).
  • Be able to work in a collaborative team environment with high-energy, passionate, caring, and ambitious professionals.
  • Have the ability to innovate and bring ideas to help the firm grow and improve service delivery.
  • Be committed to continuous professional growth and learning in the assurance and audit field.
  • Possess strong communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Be willing to work in a flexible working environment, including remote and hybrid options.
  • Be able to work in compliance with firm policies and maintain professional standards in assurance services.
