Job Description
The internship offers hands-on experience in audit, working with diverse clients to improve financial reporting, internal controls, and evaluate accounting issues, while providing professional development and networking opportunities within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with financial reporting and internal controls evaluations for clients.
- Evaluate accounting issues and stay updated on new accounting regulations.
- Help assess the quality of financial information used for strategic decision-making.
- Work with diverse clients to support audit processes and build client relationships.
Requirements
- Candidates must be high-potential accounting students interested in Audit who want to continue Aprio's standard of excellence and dive straight into hands-on accounting projects.
- Candidates must be available to participate in the Spring 2026 January-April Internship Program in the Walnut Creek, CA Office.
- Candidates must be willing to work with small, medium, and large clients and benefit from a diverse client base, including one-on-one contact with clients and partners.
- Candidates must be committed to developing a solid general foundation in accounting through on-the-job training and real-world experiences.
- Candidates must be able to work with a team of credentialed audit experts to help businesses improve financial reporting capabilities, internal controls, evaluate accounting issues, and stay ahead of new accounting regulations.
- Candidates must be capable of assessing the quality of information used to make strategic business decisions and identifying areas for operational efficiency improvements.
- Candidates must be willing to work with and form relationships with middle to large-sized audit clients.
- Candidates must be pursuing an accounting degree or equivalent educational background relevant to the internship.
- Candidates must be able to participate in a group project involving volunteering and social impact as part of the internship program.
