Job Description
A Senior Audit Associate at Aprio will work with a dynamic team to perform audits, primarily in the real estate and affordable housing sectors, helping clients maximize opportunities while contributing to a fast-growing, innovative CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform audit procedures on client financial statements, focusing on real estate and affordable housing sectors.
- Assess internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and review audit documentation and reports to support findings and conclusions.
Requirements
- Possess a CPA Certification or be willing to obtain CPA Certification with assistance provided by the employer.
- Have experience working as an Audit Associate, preferably with a focus on Real Estate or Affordable Housing industries.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with high energy, passion, and ambition.
- Be capable of growing professionally through continuous learning and advancement opportunities provided by the firm.
- Meet the physical and mental demands of the role, including working onsite if required, and participating in on-demand learning classes.
- Be prepared to work in a hybrid setup if the role is designated as such, with terms and conditions to be specified.
- Have a strong understanding of audit procedures, standards, and compliance relevant to the industry.
- Possess excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members across diverse locations and languages.
- Be willing to participate in a performance-based salary increase and discretionary incentive compensation based on individual or client performance.
- Be able to work within the legal and regulatory framework applicable to the role, including adherence to company policies and standards.
