Job Description

The Senior Audit Associate at Aprio will perform and oversee audit engagements for private and closely-held companies, providing assurance and financial insights to clients while ensuring compliance with professional standards and fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Perform audits of housing authorities and non-profit organizations to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Prepare and review financial statements and audit documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Communicate findings and audit results effectively to clients and stakeholders.
Plan and execute audit procedures in accordance with professional standards and firm policies.
Identify and assess risks during the audit process and develop appropriate audit strategies.

Requirements

Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in auditing, specifically with housing authorities or non-profit organizations.
Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Be a registered member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) or have the ability to obtain such registration.
Demonstrate knowledge of professional standards and assurance services related to auditing and financial reporting.
Show proficiency in building trusted relationships, clear communication, and ensuring efficiency throughout the audit process.
Be able to perform and lead audit procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.
Possess the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with high energy, passion, and ambition.
Be willing to adhere to all applicable federal, state, or local laws regarding employment and workplace conduct.
