Job Description
The Learning and Development Senior Specialist, Tax Training at Aprio is responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing high-quality training programs to enhance the professional growth of the firm's tax professionals, utilizing instructional design methodologies and collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure effective learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality training programs to enhance the professional growth of tax professionals
- Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training sessions
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and tax partners to develop accurate and relevant training content
- Translate complex tax topics into accessible learning experiences
- Assess and improve the effectiveness of training programs
- Manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
- Apply instructional design methodologies to develop training materials
Requirements
- Must have a strong understanding of tax software.
- Must possess a strong foundation in instructional design methodologies and be able to apply these concepts in a professional services environment.
- Must be capable of managing multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, effectively communicate, and creatively engage learners.
- Must be able to translate complex tax topics into accessible and practical learning experiences.
- Must have experience in delivering high-quality training programs that enhance the professional growth and expertise of tax professionals.
- Must collaborate closely with subject matter experts and tax partners to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and effectively meets learning needs.
- Must be able to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements.
- Must be naturally curious, innovative, and adaptable to the evolving development needs of the tax team.
- Must have a strong understanding of instructional design methodologies and be able to apply these concepts in a professional services environment.
- Must report directly to the Senior Manager, Learning Development.
- Occasional travel and participation in firmwide learning initiatives may be required.
