Job Description
The Audit Project Specialist at Aprio supports clients by enhancing financial reporting, internal controls, and evaluating accounting issues to help mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency within a dynamic, growth-oriented CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in improving clients' financial reporting capabilities and internal controls
- Evaluate accounting issues and stay informed about new accounting regulations
- Help assess the quality of information used for strategic business decisions
- Identify areas for operational efficiency improvements
Requirements
- Experience working with Caseware in an audit or accounting environment.
- Ability to work with a nationally ranked CPA and advisory firm that is passionate for what’s next.
- Experience working with businesses and industry leaders to avoid financial and business risk.
- Ability to improve financial reporting capabilities, internal controls, evaluate accounting issues, and stay ahead of new accounting regulations that could impact long-term business growth.
- Experience assessing the quality of information used to make strategic business decisions and identifying areas for operational efficiencies.
- Proficiency in collaborating with a team of credentialed audit experts.
- Ability to work in a fast-growing firm and adapt to a dynamic team environment.
- Willingness to participate in on-demand learning classes.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup if applicable, based on role, location, and terms and conditions.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain CPA Certification with assistance and participate in the bonus program.
- Ability to work onsite if required, utilizing provided shuttle services and meal provisions.
- Ability to work full-time as a project specialist in an audit-related role.
