Job Description
A Software Development Engineer in Test specializing in Spatial Intelligence, responsible for ensuring the reliability and correctness of robotic perception, localization, and mapping systems through advanced testing and validation strategies to support autonomous robot operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, robustness, and correctness of spatial perception, localization, and mapping systems of the robot.
- Design and implement replay-based, simulation-based, and dataset-driven validation strategies for system testing.
- Strengthen and maintain CI/CD pipelines, dataset validation workflows, and replay infrastructure.
- Define quality standards and improve diagnosability of robotic software systems.
- Validate new features rigorously to ensure system reliability and safety.
Requirements
- Experience in designing and implementing replay-based, simulation-based, and dataset-driven validation strategies for robotic systems.
- Expertise in robotic software testing to ensure the reliability, robustness, and correctness of spatial perception, localization, and mapping systems.
- Ability to take full ownership of strengthening CI/CD pipelines, dataset validation workflows, and replay infrastructure.
- Experience working closely with spatial intelligence engineers and test automation specialists.
- Proficiency in defining quality standards, improving diagnosability, and validating new features rigorously in robotic systems.
- Experience with critical systems such as SLAM, state estimation, world modeling, and learned perception components.
- Legal right to live and work in Spain.
- Reside in Barcelona or be open to relocate to Barcelona (not a remote position).
