Job Description
A senior AI research engineer focused on developing and deploying cutting-edge AI, machine learning, and sensing technologies for autonomous robotic inspection systems, primarily working on research, prototyping, and technology integration to advance mobile robotics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced AI, machine-learning, and sensing technologies for autonomous robotic inspection.
- Assess new technologies and design proof-of-concept experiments.
- Build research prototypes and transfer promising ideas into products.
- Collaborate with engineers and partners to evaluate and refine robotic systems.
- Shape the technology roadmap and guide long-term strategic development of robotic solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building cutting-edge AI, machine-learning, and sensing technologies from early exploration to real-world deployment challenges.
- Ability to assess new technologies, design proof-of-concept experiments, build research prototypes, and transfer promising ideas to products.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers and partners in a research and development environment.
- Demonstrated experience in autonomous robotic inspection or related fields involving robotics, perception, or industrial automation.
- Experience in developing or working with camera- and LIDAR-based sensing systems for full autonomy and obstacle avoidance.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing research prototypes and proof-of-concept experiments related to autonomous systems.
- Ability to shape technology roadmaps and guide long-term strategy for robust, reliable, and impactful robotic solutions.
- Educational background in a relevant field such as robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline (specific degree requirements not explicitly stated but implied by research and development focus).
