Job Description
A SLAM Software Engineer responsible for designing and developing mapping and localization algorithms to enable robots to accurately navigate and understand their environments in real-time, contributing to innovative robotic systems across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and refine SLAM software for real-time mapping and navigation of robots
- Develop algorithms for state estimation, registration, and loop closure detection
- Optimize the accuracy and efficiency of localization and mapping processes
- Contribute to advancing geometric mapping and semantic understanding of environments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance robotic platform capabilities
Requirements
- Experience in designing, implementing, and refining software that enables robots to precisely map and navigate their environments in real-time.
- Expertise in mapping and localization algorithms, including working with state estimation, registration algorithms, and loop closure detection.
- Proven ability to optimize the accuracy and efficiency of localization and mapping processes.
- Strong background in software architecture and development related to robotic systems.
- Experience working on SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) systems, including geometric mapping and semantic understanding of environments.
- Legal right to live and work in Spain.
- Reside in Barcelona or be open to relocating to Barcelona, as this is not a remote position.
