Job Description
A leadership role for an experienced electrical engineer to oversee the development of advanced robotic systems, build and inspire a high-performing engineering team, and drive innovative hardware solutions for mobile quadruped robots in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of complex electronic systems for robotic products.
- Collaborate with R&D and software teams to evaluate, implement, and test electronic components and systems.
- Support the product development process to ensure quality, cost, and performance standards.
- Build and inspire a high-performing electrical engineering team.
- Drive innovative hardware design solutions for robotic systems.
- Mentor engineers and develop their technical skills.
- Influence the robustness, reliability, and impact of robotic products through electrical system design.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical engineering with a focus on hardware design and system performance, including the ability to evaluate, implement, test, and support complex electronic systems.
- Experience in leading and building high-performing engineering teams, including mentoring talented engineers and inspiring team members.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovative solutions in robotics or related fields, with a focus on robustness, reliability, and cost-effective hardware design.
- Industrial experience in developing and working with electronic systems for robotics or similar complex machinery.
- Strong collaboration skills to work closely with R D experts, software development teams, and operations groups to achieve product development goals, target costs, and quality standards.
- Ability to influence and improve product robustness, reliability, and impact through electrical system development.
- Experience in designing for explosion-proof environments or similar safety-critical applications is preferred (implied by the focus on next-generation quadruped robots designed for explosion-proof environments).
