Job Description
A Senior AI Research Engineer specializing in Visual Perception will develop advanced AI, machine learning, and sensing technologies for autonomous robotic inspection systems, contributing to research, prototyping, and deployment of innovative solutions in mobile robotics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced AI, machine-learning, and sensing technologies for autonomous robotic inspection.
- Assess new technologies and design proof-of-concept experiments to evaluate their applicability.
- Build research prototypes and transfer promising ideas into product development.
- Collaborate with engineers and partners to refine and integrate robotic systems and sensors.
- Shape the technology roadmap and guide long-term strategy to ensure solutions are robust and reliable.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building cutting-edge AI, machine-learning, and sensing technologies, from early exploration to real-world deployment challenges.
- Ability to assess new technologies, design proof-of-concept experiments, build research prototypes, and transfer promising ideas to products.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers and partners in a research and development environment.
- Experience in autonomous robotic inspection or related fields involving robotics, perception, or industrial inspections.
- Demonstrated ability to shape technology roadmaps and guide long-term strategy for robust, reliable solutions.
- Hands-on experimentation skills with research prototypes and proof-of-concept experiments in AI, sensing, or robotics.
- Educational background in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related disciplines (implied but not explicitly stated).
