Job Description
The Reliability Engineer at ANYbotics is responsible for establishing and leading reliability engineering practices throughout the product development lifecycle, including developing frameworks, methods, and training to ensure the design of highly reliable robotic systems from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and embed a comprehensive Design for Reliability (DfR) framework into the product development process.
- Standardize reliability methods such as RBD, FMEA, Weibull analysis, MTBF, and MTTR across teams.
- Lead accelerated life testing programs like HALT and HASS.
- Define critical reliability gates and decision criteria aligned with product milestones.
- Mentor and train engineering teams and leadership to improve reliability literacy.
- Manage governance by reporting KPIs to leadership and interfacing with suppliers on validation expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering playbooks based on field feedback and industry trends.
Requirements
- Experience in establishing and championing reliability engineering practices across the full product development lifecycle.
- Ability to define, document, and embed a comprehensive Design for Reliability (DfR) framework into the product development process.
- Experience in establishing critical reliability gates and decision criteria that align with key product milestones.
- Proficiency in standard reliability methods such as RBD (Reliability Block Diagrams), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Weibull analysis, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) modeling.
- Experience leading accelerated life testing programs such as HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) and HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening).
- Ability to act as a hands-on mentor and technical coach, delivering tailored training programs to foster reliability literacy among engineering teams and executive leadership.
- Experience managing governance by reporting KPIs to leadership and interfacing with suppliers on validation expectations.
- Experience driving the continuous evolution of engineering playbooks based on field feedback and emerging industry trends.
