Job Description
The Head of Robotics Technology at ANYbotics leads the development and evolution of the company's robotic architecture across mechanical, electrical, control, perception, and platform strategies, translating market needs into scalable technology roadmaps to ensure innovative, reliable, and agile robotic platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and evolution of the company's robotics architecture across mechanical, electrical, controls, perception, power systems, and platform strategies.
- Translate market needs into a modular, scalable technology roadmap for robotic systems.
- Guide decision-making on chassis, subsystems, and AI-driven perception technologies.
- Drive platformization and establish strategic partnerships to enhance robotics platform agility and reliability.
- Oversee the development of customized hardware systems including robotic platforms, actuators, sensors, and inspection payloads.
Requirements
- Experience leading the evolution of robotics architecture with accountability spanning mechanical, electrical, controls, perception, power systems, and platform strategies.
- Ability to translate market needs into a modular, scalable technology roadmap, guiding decisions around chassis, subsystems, AI-driven perception, and beyond.
- Proven track record in driving platformization and forging strategic partnerships to ensure robotics platforms remain agile, reliable, and ahead of disruption.
- Experience developing and managing customized hardware systems including robotic platforms, actuators, sensors, inspection payloads, charging systems, and related mechanical hardware.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and guide decisions related to chassis, subsystems, and AI-driven perception within a robotics context.
- Experience working in or with industrial plants in the energy, process, and utility sectors, particularly in robotics applications for inspection and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of mobile robot design, including legged locomotion, sensing (camera- and LIDAR-based), and full autonomy and obstacle avoidance technologies.
- Proven experience in developing or managing autonomous systems and advanced robotic hardware and software integration.
- Educational background in engineering, robotics, or related technical fields (implied by the technical scope, though not explicitly stated).
