Job Description
The Senior Sales Director at Amperity is responsible for driving new business growth by developing and managing enterprise client relationships, delivering technical data platform solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue targets in a SaaS and AI-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pipeline development and outbound prospecting within target accounts
- Construct, forecast, and manage sales activities and pipeline to meet revenue targets
- Define and execute sales strategies for assigned accounts, cultivating new client relationships
- Understand client needs and challenges to develop customer-focused solutions
- Communicate sales traction, friction, and insights to improve customer engagement and advance deals
- Leverage CRM tools to manage sales activities, pipeline, and forecasting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Engage with ecosystem partners and industry stakeholders to expand pipeline opportunities
- Support contract negotiations and deal execution with clients, including at the executive level
Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in technical sales, with a deep focus on data platforms, ideally within a SaaS or technology-driven organization.
- Expertise in driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets in complex sales cycles, particularly in data infrastructure, analytics, and AI-driven solutions.
- Expertise in technical sales methodologies, including solution selling, consultative sales, and architecting customized data platform solutions for enterprise clients.
- Experience digging into prospects' pain points and validating the issues they are facing with technical and business stakeholders at all levels, particularly C-suite and data-driven executives, by translating complex data capabilities into actionable business outcomes.
- Deep technical understanding of modern data architectures, cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and advanced analytics tools, including AI and ML capabilities.
- Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect, including the value of data platforms to both technical and non-technical audiences through detailed product demonstrations, technical deep dives, and high-level strategic discussions.
- Ability to travel up to 25% for prospective client meetings, conferences, and company meetings.
