Job Description
The role involves leading front-end development efforts to create intuitive, scalable, and high-performance user interfaces for a data-driven AI platform, collaborating across teams to enhance customer experiences and technical practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Build intuitive and scalable user interfaces for customer-facing experiences
- Influence front-end development practices, set technical direction, and ensure interface quality
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to shape user journeys
- Design next-generation UIs that simplify complex data and workflows
- Develop shared UI components to accelerate development across teams
- Create real-time, interactive data visualization experiences
- Improve front-end performance for scalability and responsiveness under heavy load
- Integrate front-end components with distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines
- Lead projects that span multiple teams and set technical standards for front-end engineering
Requirements
- 12 years of experience building and evolving complex software systems, with expertise in front-end development.
- Experience building exceptional user experiences and advocating for the importance of front-end engineering in a data-heavy platform.
- Experience leading technical plans that improve front-end practices, design consistency, and developer productivity across multiple teams.
- Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks and tools including React, ClojureScript, and TypeScript, with an eye toward performance, scalability, and accessibility.
- Strong knowledge of the latest AI tools.
- A willingness to teach and mentor other engineers to help them level up their front-end skills and improve engineering excellence.
- Experience turning ambiguous customer or product problems into clear, applicable technical plans.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: 190,000-260,000 USD base salary
Work schedule: Hybrid work model with three in-office days per week in Seattle, WA or New York, NY
