Job Description
This role involves leading and developing the Education market segment within CannonDesign, focusing on business growth, client engagement, team leadership, and advancing innovative design solutions aligned with the firm's Living-Centered Design philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead high-performance, diverse teams focused on the Education market
- Create and execute the Market Business Plan to drive market growth and differentiation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships
- Lead client engagement on billable projects and foster long-term client relationships
- Represent the market externally and internally through speaking engagements, writing, and branding activities
- Advance strategic initiatives, market differentiation, and practice development
- Manage the overall top-line revenue and profitability targets for the market
- Assess, mentor, recruit, and develop staff to build a high-performing, inclusive team
- Lead market strategy development, including market intelligence and trend identification
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
- Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 12 years of experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Education Market.
- Strong presentation skills are essential.
- Exceptional client and people leadership skills are required.
- Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully are essential.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy are needed.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
- Must demonstrate sound judgment and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
- Some travel required.
