Job Description
A Technical Sales Specialist at Amber is responsible for engaging with prospective customers, educating them about Amber's energy automation technology, and helping to grow the company's customer base to accelerate the transition to renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate prospective customers about Amber's technology and benefits
- Grow Amber's customer base through direct engagement
- Explain how Amber's Smartshift automation improves return on investment
- Assist customers in understanding the advantages of home batteries and EV smart charging
- Support customers in adopting renewable energy solutions and technologies
Requirements
- Full-time role based in Melbourne with the expectation to remain Melbourne-based and maintain flexibility between the office and work-from-home arrangements.
- Candidates must have full working rights in Australia and be already based in Australia.
- Experience in talking to prospective customers and educating them about technical products or services, specifically related to energy or technology solutions.
- Ability to explain how Amber's Smartshift automation technology works and how customers can benefit from it to improve their return on investment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with prospective customers and explain complex technical concepts.
- Experience working in a sales environment, preferably in energy, technology, or related fields.
- Ability to work as part of a small team and contribute to growing the customer base.
- Willingness to participate in a structured hiring process including a screening interview, a take-home case study, follow-up interviews with sales leadership, and a semi-formal meeting with the General Manager.
- Demonstrated interest in helping improve the environment by shifting the world's energy usage towards renewables.
