Job Description
The Regulatory Compliance Officer will work within Amber's legal team to ensure regulatory adherence, manage reporting and engagement with regulatory bodies, and support regulatory reform projects to facilitate the company's growth in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with energy regulatory frameworks and standards.
- Lead and coordinate regulatory reporting and engagement with authorities.
- Drive regulatory reform projects and support growth opportunities requiring regulatory contact.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain a best practice compliance system.
- Provide guidance and support to teams to ensure confident decision-making in regulatory matters.
Requirements
- Experience of the energy regulatory framework gained from working within an energy sector participant or regulatory body.
- Ability to lead and coordinate regulatory reporting and engagement.
- Capability to help drive regulatory reform projects and Amber growth opportunities requiring regulatory contact.
- Strong track record in clear written and oral communications.
- Attention to detail and capability of multi-tasking.
- Experience working in or with the energy sector, specifically related to regulatory compliance.
- Full working rights and Australian residency, preferably based in Melbourne.
- Willingness to work closely with teams across Amber, including Legal, Operations, and Finance, to deliver a compliance system that aligns with best practice.
