Job Description

The Customer Service Specialist at Amber will provide support to customers, helping them navigate and utilize Amber's renewable energy products and technologies, ensuring a positive customer experience and contributing to the company's mission of transforming the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with inquiries and issues related to Amber's energy products and services
  • Provide support and guidance to customers on using Amber's home battery automation and EV charging solutions
  • Help customers understand and navigate Amber's real-time wholesale electricity pricing and energy shifting technology
  • Contribute to delivering a positive customer experience through effective communication and problem-solving

Requirements

  • Candidates must have full working rights and be already based in Australia, preferably Melbourne.
  • Applicants must submit a resume and a cover letter as part of the application process.
  • Candidates must be able to participate in an initial screening interview with the Talent team starting from 5th Jan 2026.
  • Candidates must complete a take-home case study as part of the hiring process.
  • Candidates must participate in a follow-up case study interview with the Customer Experience Operations (Cx Ops) Lead and one other member of the Cx Ops team.
  • Candidates must attend a final interview with the Customer Experience Manager and/or the Director of Operations.
  • Candidates must demonstrate passion and curiosity for the work, even if they do not meet every listed requirement.
  • Candidates must be committed to diversity and inclusion, and applications from underrepresented groups are encouraged.
  • Candidates must be able to perform the duties of a Customer Service Specialist related to devices, which implies skills in customer service, communication, and problem-solving related to devices (implied but not explicitly detailed in the posting).
