The VP of Account Management at AlertMedia leads and develops a team responsible for managing and growing customer accounts across enterprise, mid-market, and SMB segments, focusing on retention, upselling, and expansion to increase revenue while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and coach a team of Account Managers across enterprise, mid-market, and SMB segments.
Partner with sales, customer success, marketing, and renewals teams to drive collaboration and process improvements.
Identify expansion opportunities within customer accounts and execute sales plans to meet revenue targets.
Manage customer relationships, including renewals, upsells, and addressing account issues and escalations.
Review renewals and address obstacles to renewal or adoption risks.
Collaborate with marketing to execute outbound campaigns and promote product updates and training.
Guide the team in building account maps and influencing stakeholders to increase cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
Requirements
Seven (7) years of experience in account management and sales with a history of success.
Prior enterprise and mid-market sales and account management experience within a SaaS organization.
At least three (3) years of people management experience leading a successful sales team and managing a pipeline of named accounts, with the ability to accurately forecast.
Strong coaching mentality and ability to help elevate others in their career development.
Ability to map account whitespace, connect the dots in customer organizations, and influence stakeholders from various roles, levels, and profiles to identify and close a deal.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
Comfortable building rapport, negotiating, and setting expectations with stakeholders, including those at the executive level.
Experience in adapting to rapidly changing environments and contributing to an evolving sales process.
Experience leading a sales team and managing a pipeline of named accounts in a SaaS organization.
Ability to develop and coach a team of Account Managers in the enterprise, mid-market, and SMB segments, guiding them with their sales pipeline from prospecting to close.
Experience reviewing renewals and identifying obstacles limiting adoption or creating renewal risk.
Experience collaborating with marketing to deliver and follow up on outbound campaigns related to product updates, webinars, and training.
Experience managing account issues and escalations related to licensing, contracts, and renewals.
Must be located in Austin, TX, or surrounding areas, or willing to relocate to this location.
