Job Description
A Sr. Software Engineer role focused on full-stack development with experience in Elixir, Python, JavaScript, and AWS, responsible for building scalable web applications and leveraging AI tools within an innovative, collaborative environment to support AlertMedia's mission of emergency communication and threat management.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and understand the AlertMedia platform and its use cases for customers
- Develop software solutions using Python, JavaScript, Elixir, and other web technologies
- Integrate AI tools into the product and development lifecycle
- Collaborate in an Agile environment using tools like Git, JIRA, CircleCI, and Slack
- Contribute to innovative development and propose new ideas leveraging technology
- Communicate effectively with engineering and product teams
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Must have a bachelor s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field
- 6-8 years of experience building scalable applications with modern frameworks
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, Django, React, Elixir is a plus
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud experience is required
- Development experience with Postgres and Redis
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools for product development
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage working on multiple projects in parallel
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to effectively work cross-functionally in a fast-paced challenging environment
- English proficiency in written and oral communication is required
- Must reside in Mexico and have permanent residency; the company does not sponsor visas
