The Sales Manager, Account Management at AlertMedia leads and develops the Mid-Market SMB sales expansion team, driving revenue growth through coaching, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve sales and customer success objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day activities of the Mid-Market SMB sales expansion teams
Achieve and exceed sales expansion quotas through team collaboration
Conduct weekly meetings with Account Managers to review forecasts, pipeline, and opportunities
Develop coaching and development plans to support Account Managers in exceeding quotas
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure program success and team goal achievement
Meet with customers onsite and virtually to support sales growth, negotiations, and product demos
Identify problems and create action plans for senior management to execute
Utilize sales and coaching technologies to develop team skills
Deliver weekly sales forecasts to VP, Account Management
Requirements
Must be an experienced, Austin-based sales manager with 3 years of people management experience.
Must have 5-7 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales.
Must have 3 years of experience managing an account management or customer sales team.
Must have a people-first, process-oriented, data-driven mindset.
Must have experience managing sales teams with complex, multi-threaded sales processes.
Must have the ability to influence others including senior level and C-suite staff.
Must be able to travel to customer onsite and events, with a requirement of 25% travel.
Must have experience developing and executing strategies and tactics that drive revenue growth.
Must have experience managing the day-to-day activities of sales expansion teams.
Must be able to meet weekly with Account Managers to review forecast, pipeline, individual opportunities, territories, and pathways to exceeding quota.
Must develop a consistent coaching and development plan to support Account Managers in exceeding quota.
Must develop clear paths to help team members achieve their own career goals.
Must collaborate across various internal teams including Customer and Field Marketing, Customer Success Managers and Directors, Renewals Managers, Product Marketing, Finance, Pricing, and Contracts.
Must regularly meet with customers onsite and virtually to assist Account Managers with sales growth, negotiations, product demos, new product overviews, and support questions.
Must identify problems and proactively create comprehensive plans of action to present to senior management and own execution.
Must utilize various technologies such as Gong to coach and develop teams.
Must deliver weekly forecast reports to VP, Account Management.
Must be able to deliver upon other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by senior management.
