Job Description
The HR Operations Generalist Payroll Benefits is responsible for managing payroll, benefits administration, HR systems, and compliance to support employee experience and streamline HR processes within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll processing, including preparing, processing, and auditing semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Administer benefits programs, including open enrollment, billing, integrations, and partner collaboration
- Maintain and support HR systems, including managing employee data, lifecycle changes, and reporting within Rippling HRIS
- Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries related to HR operations and benefits
- Administer Leave of Absence (LOA) and accommodations programs, ensuring compliance and timely communication
- Generate and analyze HR reports and assist leaders with ad hoc reporting needs
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to employment, benefits, and payroll
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Process and audit compensation activities, including salary adjustments, promotions, and job re-leveling
- Oversee compliance projects such as EEO-1, SOC2, 5500 testing, and related initiatives
Requirements
- 3 years HR operations experience, specifically in payroll, benefits, and managing an HR tech stack including data automation and reporting
- Experience with Rippling as an HRIS strongly preferred
- Self-starter and team player, willing to jump in on all projects as needed
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Fluency in payroll, compensation, benefits, leave management, and employment law
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding support to all employees
- Ability to prepare, process, and audit semi-monthly payroll accurately and timely
- Experience managing benefits administration, benefits billing, integrations, and open enrollment processes
- Experience administering Leave of Absence (LOA) and Accommodations programs, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
- In-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Experience overseeing compliance-based projects such as EEO-1, SOC2, 5500 nondiscrimination testing for pre-tax benefits and 401k, training, and more
- Ability to keep up to date on changing federal, state, and local HR and payroll laws
- High level of discretion and ability to act as a trusted HR resource for employees
