Job Description
The Customer Advocacy Manager at AlertMedia is responsible for developing and executing strategies to amplify customer voices, build strong customer relationships, and support sales and marketing efforts through advocacy programs, references, and storytelling initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the global customer advocacy strategy, including defining goals, success metrics, and scalable processes.
- Identify, activate, and manage customer advocates to support sales efforts through references, webinars, and peer recognition.
- Oversee and grow the customer advocate database, ensuring proper segmentation to support marketing and sales initiatives.
- Design and implement advocacy programs such as reference management, customer spotlights, advisory boards, and third-party reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align customer storytelling and advocacy efforts across marketing, sales, and customer success.
- Build and maintain relationships with top-tier customers to develop advocates for speaking engagements, reviews, and awards.
- Create scalable systems for customer story intake, selection, and activation, including automation within Salesforce and advocacy tools.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of customer marketing customer advocacy experience preferably for a B2B SaaS company.
- Proven success building and scaling advocacy programs that deliver measurable business impact such as influenced pipeline, content output, and brand visibility.
- Strategic thinker with operational rigor able to connect advocacy initiatives to company goals and lead with data-driven insights.
- Experience influencing executive stakeholders and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing leaders.
- Deep understanding of advocacy and reference management programs and how to operationalize them across teams.
- Strong program management and leadership skills, able to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously with autonomy.
